Making The Most Of The Dry Weather

DSC_0050We are making the most of the dry weather and stocking up on firewood for winter 2015. This timber has come from local woodlands and will sit out for a year on the farm before being split and dried in barns. The vast majority of our firewood comes from thinning out forests. This is good for the environment as it makes space for other trees to grow up in their place. These lorries bring in roughly 25 tons of logs each time. We should have 40 of them in over the next few months, so we will have a good supply for our customers.
