Why Red Pippin Apples?
Superb aromatic Cox-like flavour but crisper texture and juicy white flesh. Reliable heavy cropper.
Red Pippin also known as Fiesta is a newer variety raised in 1972 in Kent. A cross between Cox’s Orange Pippin and Idared. Red Pippin is a very good substitute for Cox’s Orange Pippin in many respects and is a better choice for gardeners. The Red Pippin stores very well as does both it’s parents it is crisper than a Cox but sweeter than an Ida Red.
